KYSTEN ?

From 2010 to 2024, Prima Ink was based at Troms Fylkeskultursenter (Kysten) in Northern Norway, where it operated within a shared printmaking workshop environment alongside other artists.

This space, supported by Norsk kulturråd and Troms fylkeskommune, provided access to a wide range of printmaking facilities and played a fundamental role in the development of Prima Ink as both a studio and a residency platform.

Prima Ink is deeply grateful for the years spent within this collective environment, which allowed for artistic growth, exchange, and the building of an international network.

Since 2024, Prima Ink has shifted its model and no longer operates from a fixed location.

Instead, its activities take place across different sites depending on each collaboration, research process, or artistic encounter. Projects may unfold in Norway or internationally, in partnership with artists, institutions, or independently initiated contexts.

Each year, Prima Ink redefines its working space — sometimes with minimal means, sometimes through fully equipped workshops — adapting to the needs of each project.
